CHARLIE BALMER - A LEVEL PHOTOGRAPHY

I converted a Pringles tube into a camera obscura using a pin, duck tape and tracing paper. I then took photos of buildings around the college using my camera obscura and a professional camera
The camera obscura is the oldest form of photography, having said to have been first thought up of in the 10th century. It is usually a dark room with a small hole in one wall. When it is bright outside, light enters the aperture (the hole) and projects an upside down image of the outside world (since light travels in straight lines) onto the wall opposite the hole. This process is known as lateral inversion
